In my first year of College, back in 1995, I was drawn to a verse in Isaiah 35:3:
Strengthen the weak hands,
And make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
And make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
This has become my life verse. It's my prayer and desire to do what these verses instruct.
Before I begin to outline what the vision is for Staircase of Hope Ministries, I should explain the name for a moment. Staircase has been with me for many years. It was birthed out of my imagination. If I were to become a writer, I would want my publishing company to be Staircase Books. If I were to become a musical artist I would want my music to be released under the name Staircase Records.
For my ministry, I desire people to climb the "Staircase" to a higher understanding of who God is and who He longs to be in their lives.
The Vision of Staircase of Hope Ministries: (Ezekiel 11:19 Amplified Bible)
Ezekiel 11:19Amplified Bible (AMP)
19 And I will give them one heart [a new heart] and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take the stony [unnaturally hardened] heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh [sensitive and responsive to the touch of their God],
1) To encourage people. This is simple and yet so important. In our world today there are people who feel weak and feeble in every area of life. It is my desire to be able to encourage them on in their journey. They need people to come along side of them and to administer strength through the Word of God to continue on in their journey.
2) To Speak Life: Words are like seeds. They are planted into the garden of the heart. I desire to take the Word of God and to seed it into people's lives. I want to prophetically speak into people's lives concerning the here and now and also into the future. God has a hope and future for His people. (Jeremiah 29:11)
3) To encourage people to dream. Dream again! and again! and again! Keep dreaming the dreams God has for you.
4) To Teach and Train People: I believe that people need to be equipped with tools for their personal lives as well as within the context of the Corporate church setting. I desire to see people trained in Intercessory Prayer, The Purposes of God. I see seminars, and teaching sessions in church settings, mens groups, connect groups, etc.
